The major difference is while addressable fire alarm systems give information about individual detectors;
the conventional systems only give information about specific zones or circuits. -
There are six major types of fire extinguishers; They are water, Dry powder, foam, CO2, Wet Chemical and Clean agents
1) Foam Fire extinguishers – most suitable for tackling liquid fires, freely burning materials such as cloth, wood, furniture etc.
2) Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers - most suitable for electrical fire that affect computers, office equipments, generators etc.
3) Dry powder - Suitable for subsiding fire on petrol, oil, gas and electrical equipment and freely burning materials.
4) Wet chemical – Suitable for fire that is mainly caused by cooking oil and grease.
5) Water fire extinguisher – Suitable for general purpose, use on solid materials like wood, paper, textiles etc.
6) Clean agent – Suitable for use on sensitive electronic equipment.

P - Pull the pin
A - Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire
S - Squeeze the top handle
S - Sweep side to side at the base of the fire until fire is out
